PETALING JAYA: Complaints about bright students not getting Public Service Depart ment scholarships will soon be a thing of the past.
This is because the creme de la creme will get the money to go to universities.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced yesterday that all students who score 9A+ or higher will now be given scholarships to pursue their studies locally or overseas, regardless of their race.
In other developments:
> TOP students laud the move, saying that this is a great morale boost;
> THE teachers’ union wants the Government to ensure that all scholarship recipients return to serve the country;
> POLITICIANS back the announcement, pointing out this is a way to stop the brain drain.
